Santiago week 1

by - 10:56:00 AM

In a blink of an eye, it has been more than a week since I landed in South American land ! Truly, it feels like the best time of my life. I can't believe just two weeks ago I was whining about having to leave my comfort zone. I've met the best people, and learnt / seen so many new things. I've even learnt how to drink tequila shots last night. As the project progresses, I've gotten to know everyone a little bit better, and I'm so glad to have met such a diverse group of people. This coming week is going to be extremely hectic and I wouldn't have anymore time to blog or travel thus here are some visuals from my very first weekend in Santiago !

We had the opportunity to go on a half day city tour around the city. Although we were on the bus most of the time, we got to get off at Santa Lucia Hill, Plaza de Armas, La Moneda and halfway up San Cristobal hill. After that, we left the tour and went to Bellavista for some food.

Saint Lucia Hill

Plaza de Armas.
Unfortunately it was under renovation.

La Moneda Palace, the seat of the President of the Republic of Chile.

Finally putting my selfie stick to good use !
Halfway up San Cristobal hill
Bellavista for some Empanadas.

That is all for now as I can feel my eyes drooping. This hotel is far too comfortable for anything productive. I can't seem to stay awake for anything.

Stay tuned for more blogposts on Santiago and details about how the project went. One more week till I see my brothers again ! So excited for what is in store for the next few weeks. For now, I better catch some zzz and be as productive as I can tomorrow. Check out my instagram and hashtags for more pictures on Santiago.

Till next time, xoxo
